Here’s our latest rundown on recent funding rounds raised by Pacific Northwest companies. — Dance Church, the Seattle-based creators of a high-energy, dance-focused movement class that also includes an online subscription platform, has raised $4.7 million in seed funding. The gist: Founded in 2010 by Kate Wallich, Dance Church teamed with Pioneer Square Labs in June for help in taking the popularity of its in-person classes and bringing them online for a global audience with a dance-on-demand product called “Dance Church Go.” Users can get access to a library of online classes for $19 a month or $199 per year.… Read More

A lot of us have been talking with friends and family through video calls ever since the pandemic started. Apple Store down ahead of ‘Unleashed’ new MacBook Pro Apple event

Apple has taken its online Apple Store offline for updates, preparing the digital storefront for the launch of new products that is expected to include a refresh of the MacBook Pro line.

A tradition of Apple events, the online version of the Apple Store goes down hours ahead of the company’s presentation, giving developers time to update the pages for its new launches. On Monday, shortly after 7 a.m. eastern, the store switched to displaying the usual “Be right back” animated logo graphic.While Apple doesn’t say when the store will come back, it usually resurfaces shortly after the related launch event concludes. As Apple will be holding its “Unleashed” event at 1 p.m. eastern, it’s probable that the store will reactivate for purchases sometime around 2 p.m.
